As a person with a keen interest in understanding and solving problems I come across, data analytics has always been an enjoyable process for me. I have worked with datasets from different fields and applied varied methods to derive insights and make recommendations.
During my university years, I studied electrical engineer (circuit board design and power systems). While working at a railway company, I picked up mechanical engineering. Both experiences allowed me the pleasure of applying what I learned to solve problems.
Product design was a compulsory minor at my university, I have had the privilege of working with different teams to deliver interesting products/installations.
Programming has become a necessity to accomplish many basic tasks. My favourite application of programming is to automate tasks where automation is not immediately apparent. Python is my preferred language. I have also worked with SQL, Javascript, C++, MATLAB, HTML and CSS.

I was part of the Humanities Program and Captain of the Cross Country Team in Hwa Chong Institution. After graduating, I worked at the Ministry of Transport Futures Division for half a year, formulating drone regulations and introducing applications to the government sector. This was followed by 2 years in the military where I was commissioned as an officer (Lieutenant) and served in the Combat Service Support Headquarters as a manpower officer. After completing my National Service, I took up the Singapore Industries Full Term Scholarship and majored in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Product Design, at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. During my studies, I had the privilege of completing an exchange program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude, I served a 4-year bond at Singapore Mass Rapid Transit in maintenance, engineering and condition monitoring roles as a Senior Executive Engineer. While working at SMRT, I also completed a postgraduate diploma in Urban Railway Engineering with the University of Birmingham. After completing my bond, I worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Shopee covering multiple portfolios from Ads Analytics in the Marketing Solutions to Profit Optimization in Shopee Mall.
One of my more recent accomplishments was the completion of the Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science and Engineering at the Singapore Management University (2023). I am currently exploring the Cybersecurity realm through CompTIA's certifications and recently received my Sec+ Certificate (2025). In my free time, I program, run, drum and work on random projects for fun.
